Preparatory courses for the University
Preparatory courses (Junior faculty) work at the International University for pupils of senior classes
in Saint Petersburg. Training on our courses promotes successful passing both entrance and final examinations.
The program of training corresponds to the requirements of the Higher school. Training is conducted by highly
experienced stuff in working in High school and, as a rule, having graduates and academic status.
Planned curriculum
We offer the extensive program of preparatory training, scheduled for 2 semesters (October - May).

The training not simply duplicates a course of studies of high school but pays special
attention to the most difficult material and singles out important items necessary for
preparation in this or that subject. Therefore graduates of Junior faculty have considerable
privilleges among those pupils who didn’t attend the preparatory courses.
High level of training in foreign language
Studying English language is one of priority directions of preparatory courses. It enables students after
entering the University to continue studying this language at considerably higher level. And they also can
attend some special courses in foreign
language which allow them to improve speech skills and to master professional vocabulary.
Besides graduates of preparatory courses already begin to study the second foreign language (240 hours)
and a course “Information resources of the Internet” in the first year.
Examination in English language for the International certificate
Within the courses of Junior faculty pupils can attend preparation studies and pass examinations
for the International certificate of fluent English (ÐÅÒ, FCE) in the British Council. The certificate
confirms extending knowledge of English and is a generally accepted document in Russia and in many foreign
countries. It gives more opportunities in career choices and participation in the program of student's exchanges.
The convenient schedule of studies
Studies are conducted 3-4 times a week during convenient time for pupils from 16:40
till 19:30. Time is chosen due to the schedule of pupils so that they have time to combine
study at school, preparatory courses and their individual training.
Privileges for graduates of preparatory courses
The pupils who successfully passed tests in training subjects are enlisted to
the University without entrance examinations. While all entrants go through entrance
examinations, graduates of preparatory courses will already be sure that are enlisted
on the chosen faculty in one of the leading Universities of Saint Petersburg.
Career-guidance for pupils
The program of career-guidance for pupils exists on preparatory courses. During this course the
future students get acquainted with features of suggested specialities and disciplines that are being
conducted at the faculty of management, economy and law of the University. We help our entrants to choose
their future profession according to their interests.
